Files with .zul extension contain user interface elements defined using User Interface Markup Language (ZUML). ZUML provides a XML-based language to develop server side files with support for Ajax and Java. The ZUL file format enables building web and mobile applications without JavaScript or Ajax knowledge. ZUL files consist of XML elements to construct user interfaces.
The ZUL file extension may also occur in other file types not supported by SeaMonkey or similar programs. The ZK User Interface Format specification used in .zul files was created by Potix. ZUL files are likely created using the SeaMonkey program.
