It is a game data file used by the first-person military shooter video game IronSight by Aeria Games. You will likely only see WPG files if modifying Ironsight gameplay. Ironsight game installation directory C:\AeriaGames\Ironsight\data contains WPG files. Common WPG filenames include weapon_ar.wpg containing assault rifle weapon information in Ironsight.
Some WPG files are actually PNG images with a different filename extension. WildTangent Games video game distribution service desktop software also uses PNG images with WPG filename extensions. The media type of such images is application/x-wildtangent-web-driver.
