Files with TSZ extension are Settings Files categorized in 1305 file formats. The TSZ file format is compatible with software installable on Windows and Mac OS systems. Trillian supports TSZ files and is the most used program, though 1 other tool can also handle these files. The Trillian Skin Format file and Trillian software were developed by Cerulean Studios. To open unknown files, check if the application used can handle the latest file format. Or scan the file with antivirus software like Norton or Nod32. On Windows, right click the TSZ file then click “Open with”>”Choose another app” to select a new program. Always use this program for *.TSZ files. On Mac, right click the TSZ file and click “Open with”>”Other…” to choose a new program. Check “Always Open With” that program.
Previous Trillian versions allowed installing TSZ files. This meant decompressing them into the Skins folder and applying via Preferences. Current versions don’t support this. TSZ files contain assets like images and XML to alter Trillian’s appearance. When issues occur opening TSZ files, first determine the cause. We’ll show how to solve in 4 steps. The second way is to associate TSZ with a program via Windows Registry, but the manual edit is complex.
