Here are suggestions for simplifying the text:
a) Most often, PC users use Jigdo to download disk images split into several files. Jigdo combines the pieces into one file. Users run Jigdo, specify a .jigdo file to retrieve a .template file. Jigdo then downloads the needed files before creating the disk image. Jigdo asks which files users already have to avoid re-downloading pieces.
b) We know of 2 .template file types. One type contains office layouts by Worksheet. Another is used by Jigdo for disk images. Different software uses .template files for different data.
c) Installing Jigdo, download a .jigdo and .template file. Open the .jigdo file in Jigdo. Jigdo downloads the disk image pieces using both files. Useful for large downloads like operating system ISOs.
d) A Jigdo limitation: It cannot add mirror lists into the .jigdo file. A workaround adds them manually. An upstream solution is proposed.
e) If certain file contents like long zero bytes start an input file, Jigdo may not find the file in the image. This maintains performance. Jigdo could also miss the file after the zero byte file.
