You still cannot access TDM files although LabVIEW is installed. The latest LabVIEW version should support all formats compatible with older versions. Make sure the software supporting TDM files is updated.
Sometimes newer application versions introduce new formats, causing incompatibility with TDM files. This can be why TDM files do not work with LabVIEW.
TDM files are opened by LabVIEW software, used in hardware interaction. The data is ASCII-encoded.
When you double-click a file, Windows checks the extension. If recognized, it opens the associated program. Otherwise you get a prompt to select an app.
You need to update the application opening .TDM files. Only the newest version supports the format. You should also scan for viruses with antivirus software.
Problems blocking TDM access include: corruption; incorrect registry entries; accidental registry deletion; or incomplete installation.
After reinstalling software supporting TDMs, the files should open by default. Note – not all software can perform all operations; some only view contents or convert formats. Check application capabilities with TDMs beforehand.
The TDM extension tells your device which app opens the file. Though formats vary, we receive suggestions on which programs open them.
