To open a T17 file, double-click its icon. If that does not work, the file extension may be typed wrongly.
When you start a return, you can import previous years’ data. Either from H&R Block or TurboTax and TaxAct. If no data to import, you enter basic information. Then add tax details – income, deductions, etc for your state and federal taxes.
The software saves the return in a T17 file. Similar extensions are .h17, .t1. But these files differ – .h17 is for Canadian taxes.
Problems opening T17 files can happen. Some reasons are – corrupted or infected files, outdated drivers, not enough PC resources.
