A .sts file type is associated with Dassault SolidWorks, used to design 3D parts. The TASK tool allows scripts to automate repetitive tasks in SolidWorks. Scripts can save time by executing batches of commands. To open a .sts script in TASK, click the plus icon in the Tasks pane, then select the .sts file to run. You can also download .sts scripts from the TASK online library. Note TASK is pronounced “Sharp Task”. The .sts file contains Squeak Source Code, a Smalltalk language. Smalltalk-80 developers at Apple including some original developers derived Squeak. The .sts file also stores TASK Scripts for SolidWorks. These automate repetitive, time consuming tasks in the CAD program. The .sts format description is not available. It is a data file used by the TASK application. Programs that open .sts files are listed to assist users. We describe compatible software and conversion options for the .sts file format. The goal is to simplify use of .sts files.
