The SPG file extension is used for Backup Files. It was created by SpeedGuide.net for their TCP Optimizer software. TCP Optimizer is an internet performance enhancement utility for Windows. SPG files contain backup data of TCP/IP settings modifications made by TCP Optimizer. They allow reverting TCP Optimizer tweaks back to the original state.
Other programs can also use the SPG extension. The Backup Files category has 243 related file types. To open an SPG file in Windows, first install TCP Optimizer if you don’t have it. Then double-click the SPG file icon to launch the file. TCP Optimizer will automatically open files it has associated with the SPG extension.
If another program created the SPG file, you may need to manually associate it with the correct software. Right-click the SPG file, choose “Open with” and select the desired program from the list. You can also update and reinstall the preferred application for SPG files if an older version doesn’t open them properly.
