A slide file has a header (31 bytes) and data records. Coordinates and sizes reflect the drawing area where the slide was created. Point (0,0) is the lower-left corner. For AutoCAD Release 9+, the header has these fields:
Field, Bytes
Slide file header, 2
Main data size, 4
Resolution, 8
Number of slides, 2
Date/time slide created, 7

Slide files contain screen images from the MSLIDE command. VSLIDE reads them. This section describes the format for developers. They may want to add slide support.
