Files with SH3D extension contain information on walls, rooms, texts, furniture measurements, color patterns, window glass data, and output images created in Sweet Home 3D application. To open .SH3D file install Sweet Home 3D. If installed application does not open .SH3D file, update Sweet Home 3D or associate file with the application.
On Windows right click .SH3D file, click Open with > Choose another app and select Sweet Home 3D. Check box “Always use this app to open .SH3D files”.
To make file association manually, right click on .SH3D file, open Properties, click Change and select Sweet Home 3D application directory. Check box “Always use selected program to open this kind of file”.
Output images and 3D models data is saved in XML format with .SH3D extension. Design documents can be opened and edited in Sweet Home 3D only. While primarily used by Sweet Home 3D, files may be imported to other applications like SketchUp.
Files can also be converted to more common formats. Use Print functionality in Sweet Home 3D to save as PDF instead of printing.
