The RSR file extension is used for preview images of 3D models created in Smith Micro Poser. RSR files contain thumbnail images allowing users to quickly view and select Poser models. They are proprietary to Poser.
RSR files are 8-bit RGB images, compressed with Zlib. They have a maximum size of 512 x 512 pixels. RSRs generally include alpha information.
RSRs are primarily used to store previews of Poser .CR2, .PP2 and .PZ3 model files. Storing a preview enables quick viewing and selection of models.
RSR files are only supported by Windows versions of Poser 7 and earlier. Newer Poser versions on Windows and Mac use PNG files for previews.
To open RSR files install Smith Micro Poser software. If you have problems associating RSRs with Poser, double click an RSR file to prompt Poser to open it. Alternatively install Poser Maconverter to handle RSR files.
