To open a QDAT file, first install QuickTime Player. Then double-click the QDAT file icon to open it. If Windows recognizes the file type, it will open the file in QuickTime Player.
If Windows does not recognize the file type, you will see “Select an app to open this .qdat file”. This means Windows does not have a default program set to open QDAT files.
To associate QDAT files with QuickTime Player, right-click on a QDAT file. Select “Open with” and choose QuickTime Player from the list. Select the location where QuickTime Player is installed. Now Windows will open QDAT files in QuickTime Player automatically.
You may need to update QuickTime Player to the latest version to properly open QDAT files. Or scan the QDAT file with antivirus software to check for viruses causing issues opening the file.
