Here are two versions of the simplified and reordered text:
Version 1 (Sentence length 6-17 words):
PVC files store digital audio recorded by Panasonic devices. You need the device’s serial number to download Panasonic Voice Editing software to open PVC files on a computer. The PVC format is proprietary to Panasonic. If your operating system cannot open a PVC file, install software that supports the format.
Version 2:
PVC is a file extension for Panasonic’s proprietary digital audio format. PVC files contain audio recorded on Panasonic devices. To open PVC files on a computer, download Panasonic Voice Editing software. You will need the serial number from your Panasonic device to install the software. If your operating system cannot open a PVC file, you need to install a program that supports the PVC format. Panasonic Mini Player software can also play PVC files.
