They may contain other project information. Programs that open PCP files include Orca.exe, Msimp.exe and Patchwiz.dll from the Windows SDK. PCP files are used on Windows platforms, especially Windows 10.
PCP files can also be AutoCAD plotter configuration files. Other uses are for Star Wars game data, encoded data, and SWAT precipitation input.
If you cannot open a PCP file, install appropriate software. Associate the PCP extension with that software. If it still does not open, the cause may be different.
