OTS stands for OpenDocument Spreadsheet Template. These templates contain predefined settings for styles, fonts, data, layouts, and formatting as a starting point. OTS files use OpenDocument XML structure comprising documents and images in a zip archive. Applications like OpenOffice and LibreOffice use OTS files.
OTS files serve as templates for generating new ODS documents with set styles and formatting. Beside formatting, OTS files can define settings for various document types like manifests or accounting forms. The OpenOffice.org spreadsheet template uses the open XML-based OpenDocument file format for texts, charts and graphics.
