Forms saved as .odkbuild files in ODK Build look like blocks describing fields. Selecting a block shows the field’s properties in the Properties sidebar. Add new fields from the menu at the bottom. Delete a field by selecting the X in its corner.
If Windows doesn’t recognize the .odkbuild extension, it asks which app to open it with. It means no default app is associated with this file type.
To create, open or save forms use the File menu in ODK Build. Forms saved locally have the .odkbuild extension. Only these load into ODK Build. Add prompts by dragging elements onto the canvas.
The .odkbuild file type is for ODK Build forms. To open it on Windows use ODK Build, Notepad or a text editor. On Mac use ODK Build, TextEdit or a text editor. On Linux use Vim or another text editor. On the web use ODK Build or Chrome Text.
