A LIA file is a P-CAD ASCII library file. It contains CAD symbols. LIA files are the ASCII version of P-CAD Binary library files. The P-CAD ASCII format was developed by P-CAD, short for Personal CAD Systems, a program popular in the 1980s.
The lia file extension was used for schematics libraries in P-CAD program. The program is no longer sold. The developer was acquired by Altium so the fate of this format is unknown.
This file type can’t be converted to any other format. It is a system, configuration, temporary, or data file containing data for only one software.
