JET database files have “.mdb” extension for older Access versions and “.accdb” for newer ones. These relational databases store data in tables with relationships. Users query data with SQL or Access interface. JET databases store text, numbers, dates, images.
Microsoft no longer supports JET engine used for Access databases. Rename “.jet” extension to “.mdb” to open in Access.
JET databases seem to be renamed Access “.mdb” files. “.jet” databases open in Access when renamed to “.mdb”. Consider converting “.jet” files as Access databases.
