JCD files are used by FlashGet, a download manager for Windows. They contain data related to downloads. The default JCD file size is 43 KB to 1 MB. The file format was created by Trend Media Corporation. Most JCD files have the tag “SILKIDEASIGN0100:” at the start. They hold download data rather than text.
To open a JCD file requires JewelCAD software for Windows. JewelCAD allows exporting the JCD as an STL 3D model file. Go to Misc -> Cut in Slices -> Output STL file. Over 400 formats can be viewed using File Viewer Plus too.
JCD files originate from FlashGet. The program saves download lists as JCDs by default. These files don’t convert to other formats as the data is meant just for FlashGet. Software that opens JCD files includes JewelCAD on Windows. JewelCAD also exports JCDs to STL files.
Windows can’t open JCDs natively. It doesn’t associate the extension to any installed app. Instead, select an app able to handle JCDs. Check the developer’s website for software alternatives. FlashGet runs on Windows and is popular in China. Its users tend to have Windows 10 and Chrome.
