IGP files store sheet music created with Igor Engraver software. Users download demo files that can be viewed and played in Igor Reader. Files can then be purchased online to access full sheet music. IGP files contain MIDI information that allows the music to be played audibly by the computer’s MIDI system.
The official format name is Igor Publishing format. Igor Reader is no longer available. Many programs open IGP files. We also have free online IGP tools to view, edit, convert, merge, split, and compare IGP files without installing anything.
IGP file extension has one file type, Igor Published Music Notation format. It belongs to the Audio Files category. IGP files are usually opened in Igor Reader, one of two programs that support this format.
IGP stands for Igor Published Music Notation File. They are created by Igor Engraver, a music notation application for Mac and Windows by Peter Bengtson. The Igor Engraver is unfortunately no longer supported.
On Windows, right-click an IGP file to open it in Choose another app menu. The most common IGP file problem is that it’s not associated with the program. To resolve, double-click the file so the system opens it with the associated application. Alternatively, install Igor Reader which supports IGP files.
