I preferred to keep the extension to max 4 characters so I changed my handlebar template’s extension from .handlebars to .hbs. I referred to the new extension in the compile function. It worked fine with no issues. Let me know if you see any problems with this approach down the road. The .handlebars extension seemed a bit long to me.
A handlebars file stores a web template written in HTML and Handlebars expressions. To deliver it, include it in a script tag. Handlebars is a framework for web templates used at run-time by Java.
The .hbs file extension is for Handlebars template files. Use Handlebars to open them. They can probably be exported to other formats too. Handlebars belongs to the web files category. Software recommended for .hbs files is Handlebars.
