The Allegro MIDI File format (GRO) is mostly seen as having five file types. The dominant related application was developed by Open Source Audacity software. We have found GRO files on Windows, Mac, and Linux. They work on both mobile and desktop devices. GRO files have a low popularity rating. This means many devices do not have them. Learn more about GRO files and software opening them below.
The GRO extension relates to five file types, like Settings Files or Game Files. The majority of GRO files store Audio data as ASCII text, similar to MIDI. Allegro works with Audacity. We marked this GRO file type as obsolete. So it is no longer actively used and is likely obsolete. This happens to old system files. And discontinued software. Or some earlier file versions replaced in newer programs.
Audacity software logo. It runs on Microsoft Windows. We know two uses of the .GRO extension. Software can use the same extension for different data types. One GRO format contains Genbox Family History Report Options. We have not analyzed these files in detail yet.
You should update applications opening .GRO files. Only the newest versions support the current format. Check .GRO files for viruses with antivirus software too. Like Norton or Nod32.
