GLX files store graphical data required for rendering scenes in Xsharp Renderer software. Xsharp Renderer is a popular OpenGL-based graphics library and rendering tool written in C++. To work with GLX files, you will need Xsharp Renderer software installed. Some GLX files represent GPS log files used by GPS software to record location, speed and other data.
To view data on a computer, students must connect their Xplorer GLX device and open GLX files with GLX File Manager. The File Manager opens files in PASCO DataStudio or Capstone. You can also open a GLX file directly in PASCO Capstone for Windows and Mac. Select File → Open Experiment from the menu bar and navigate to your GLX file.
The GLX file extension indicates which app can open the file on your device. Different programs may use GLX files for different data types. We describe programs that are known to open GLX files as we receive suggestions from users about specific file types and the software they use.
