GGZ files store saved game progress for websites emulating games. The files contain compressed data to resume games later. GGZ files work with emulators like NeptunJS for consoles including Nintendo 64 and 3DO.
Originally GGZ files stored skins for the Garena online gaming client. Garena Client was created by Garena Online to manage GGZ files. Garena Online no longer supports GGZ files.
GGZ files are formatted zip archives. They contain save state data and preview images. If decompressed, the save state can resume games in some emulators.
The GGZ extension is obsolete now. No current software opens or converts GGZ files anymore. Previously over 1300 file types used the GGZ format. It was used to store settings, options, themes and skins.
