A GCPROJ file contains project data created by Genome Compiler. Genome Compiler is used to explore DNA sequences, amino acids, and other biological components. To create a GCPROJ file, click the “+” document icon in Genome Compiler and select “New Project”.
You may see an error message “Select an app to open this .gcproj file” when trying to open a GCPROJ file. This occurs when Windows does not recognize the .gcproj extension. It does not have a default program associated with this file type.
What is a GCPROJ file type? A GCPROJ file is created in Genome Compiler. To create one, click the export arrow icon. Then select “Export as gcproj”, name the file, choose a save location, and click Save.
