GBI is a gBurner Project File. It stores settings to burn CDs, DVDs. The GBI file must be complete, error-free to work. If another person sent you the file, ask them to resend it. The file possibly did not copy properly. It is incomplete, cannot open.
To open a GBI file, you need gBurner installed. If it does not open in gBurner, create a file association. The file properties menu has this option. It associates the file and program.
Windows devices support GBI files. ISO files copy CDs, DVDs. Windows and disc programs use ISOs. Other disc formats are bin, cue, mfd, mds, nrg. AnyBurn converts them to ISO. To make an ISO, burn a disc image.
Double-click to open a file. If unknown, Windows asks you to select a program. It means Windows has no default program for the file type. You must associate the file extension with the software. This is in the Windows Registry.
