Genetec Security Center stores recorded video data in G64X file format. G64X files are compatible with Windows system platform. G64X files belong to the Video Files category. Other programs can also open G64X files. Security Center software can export video files to MP4, ASF and G64X formats. G64X files store H.264 encoded video from surveillance cameras. The Genetec Video Player app plays G64X files on machines without Security Center. To open G64X files, first double-click the file icon. If Windows does not recognize the extension, it shows an error message. The G64X extension could be associated with other programs, not just Security Center. G64X files could also come from harmful software. Be cautious of G64X files from unknown sources. If Windows does not open the G64X file, the extension may be misspelled.
