Drumlin Publisher encrypts and encodes PDF files. It then puts them into DRMZ files. This makes the PDFs more secure.
DRMZ files cannot be opened without the appropriate software. They are created for security and digital rights management. Javelin PDF Reader and Drumlin PDF Reader can open .drmz files. Make sure your reader software is up to date. Old versions of the software may not read newer file types.

Windows does not recognize the .drmz extension by default. When double-clicking a .drmz file, you may see a message to select a program to open it. DRMZ is a proprietary Drumlin format that adds restrictions for copying, printing and accessing the PDFs. It can add watermarks or limit the number of views. The files also can expire after a set time.
