To open an unknown DEF file, download software that supports the format. The DEF format depends on the Mugen engine for 2D fighting games. Use a text editor able to read the DEF file’s text-based data. If your DEF file is corrupted or has a virus, get the file again and scan it with antivirus software.

The Chunk0.def file tells WWE 2k19 and 2k18 which PAC files to load on startup. PAC files not listed won’t be read. Earlier games don’t use this. When modding, you must add the path to new PAC files. Do this manually or use Custom Character Tools which does it automatically.
