The CXP file contains a program created in CX-Programmer. Files with the cxp file extension are mainly found as PLC programs made by Omron CX-Programmer. CX-Programmer is a PLC programming tool for the creation, testing and maintenance of programs for Omron PLCs. The CXP file format was originally developed by Omron Corporation for the OMRON CX-One software. Data show that CXP files are most popular in China and are often used on Windows 10 with Google Chrome. We do not currently have access to a description of the .cxp format. To open or convert .cxp files requires CX-One software from Omron.
Microsoft previously partnered with Omron for application development. The CXP file format is not yet considered desktop friendly. Two other file types also use the .cxp extension – CX-Programmer Project File and FMAT Assay File. CX-Programmer is now included as part of CX-One and is no longer a standalone product. If you cannot open a .cxp file, install CX-One software which can handle this file type.

The CXP file extension refers to data created by the FMAT system. FMAT analyzes human cells. The CXP file contains parameters used to analyze scanned plates. Data from the analysis is saved in CXR files. CXR files are named after the plate. For example, Plate001.cxr.
To view CXR data, open Helper. Select “File → View Plates”. CXR files will open in Excel if linked.
CXP files are in folders with CXR files. CXP files provide analysis parameters for CXR data files. Windows users can view CXP and CXR files with the FMAT 8100 HTS System software.
The CXP file format stores FMAT assay data. FMAT is a fluorescence platform. It enables nonradioactive cell and bead assays for high throughput screening.
