The CWC file extension is used by CADfix for its configuration files. CWC files belong to the Settings file category along with 1305 other formats. CADfix was created by ITI TranscenData to handle CWC files. You can also find the CWC extension on Windows operating systems. In addition, programs distributed for Windows can use files with the CWC extension.
To open an unknown CWC file, right click on it. Next select “Open with” and click “Choose another application.” You then select the program to open the CWC file. If Windows does not recognize the CWC extension, you will get an error message. You can also associate CWC files with software by editing the Windows Registry. But that method is more difficult.
The CWC extension can also relate to ClarisWorks color palette files. ClarisWorks shipped for Mac in 1991 and Windows in 1993. The cwc file stores color palettes used by the software.
