Files with CREV extension are used by Adobe Captivate application. The crev file extension is associated with the Adobe Captivate e-learning application. The .crev file contains Adobe Captivate collaboration project with comments from collaborators.
CREV files allow users to review and leave remarks about eLearning materials before final draft. You can publish them from a .CPTX file by selecting File → Collaborate → Send for Shared Review. Once published, reviewers can leave comments using Captivate Reviewer software.
When you double-click a .crev file, Windows examines the filename extension. If Windows does not recognize the extension, you get a message to select an app to open the file. This means Windows does not have a default program associated with .crev files.
To open .crev files, use Adobe Captivate software. As far as we know, this file type can’t be converted to other formats. This is often the case for system, temporary or data files containing data used only by specific software. Also some proprietary formats cannot be converted to protect intellectual property.
