What is a CNV file? Canvas drawing format used by versions 6 through 8. Can contain vector graphics and raster graphics, mainly vector images. Previous versions of Canvas use .CVS file extension. Later versions use .CVX extension.

How to fix problems with CNV files? Update application normally used to open CNV files. Main problem – CNV file incorrectly associated with programs. Causes file to open by system applications not designed for this purpose. Or display message no associated program.
Easily remedied. First double-click on CNV file icon to open. If operating system has appropriate application and association between file and program, file should open.
First step – check if computer has Canvas program installed. If not, install it. Second step – right click on CNV file, choose “Open with” and select Canvas from list. Third step – check box “Always use this app to open *.cnv files”. Finally double-click CNV file again. Should now open in Canvas.
