File extension CIDB is used by Apple iTunes to recognize files containing user’s music library and other media content. To open a .cidb file, first associate iTunes with the .cidb file extension. Right click the .cidb file, select “Open with” and choose iTunes. If iTunes is not listed, click “More applications” then select iTunes.
If iTunes is already installed but not opening the file, manually associate .cidb with iTunes in Windows Registry, or simply redownload the .cidb file as it may be incomplete from a failed download.
Also ensure you have appropriate access rights to the .cidb file location and that your iTunes application is up-to-date, as old versions may not support the latest .cidb format. Antivirus software should scan the file for viruses as a precaution.
