The ASY file extension has two file types. One type is the LTspice IV Circuit Diagram file. LTspice is software implementing a simulator of electronic circuits. It is produced by Linear Technology. The other type is the Asymptote module. Asymptote is a vector graphics language for technical drawings. It provides a framework for drawing. The labels in Asymptote are typeset with LaTeX. LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system. More information about ASY and Asymptote is on the manufacturer’s website. To open ASY files, Windows needs to know the program. Or Windows can look it up automatically. Users can also manually select from installed programs. To change associations, right-click the file. Then click “Open With”. Select the program to open the file. Check the box to always use that program.
