ARK is a compressed file format used by PowerDesk Pro. ARK was originally created for the CP/M operating system. A single ARK archive can contain multiple compressed files. ARK is supported by DOS, Unix, and Windows systems. The ARK format was created with the ARK11.COM utility which is now obsolete. PowerDesk Pro software can decompress ARK formatted files. The Windows operating system can automatically associate the ARK extension with PowerDesk Pro after installing it. If this association does not happen automatically, it can be manually set so ARK files always open with PowerDesk Pro.
