ALX files are Alpha Five developer database files. They contain reusable code and scripts. To attach a library, use the “Database Properties” window. Select the “Libraries” tab. NOTE: Alpha Five became Alpha Anywhere in 2013.

You may see ALX files when installing BlackBerry apps. To open in Desktop Manager: Download software and extract the archive. Open Manager and connect device. Click “Application Loader” then “Add/Remove Applications.” Browse to the ALX file. Click install. NOTE: ALX files can be made in BlackBerry software or a text editor.
