AKP files are found on Linux, Mac and Windows. Originally for the Freecycle program, AKP files can be opened by ReCycle, Awave Studio, VSampler. AKP files are audio files.
When you double-click an AKP file, Windows looks at the extension. If it recognizes .akp, it opens the file. If not, you get a message to select an app to open the AKP file.
You can associate .akp files with software in the Windows Registry. Many files contain only text data. The AKP extension was developed for the ReCycle software by Propellerhead. AKP files are common on PCs from China running Windows 10 and viewed in Chrome.
