Adobe Bridge lets you easily organize, browse, and view creative assets. It provides access to project files and settings. It also lets you tag and search using XMP metadata. Adobe Bridge makes it easy to find, sort, filter, and organize photos, graphics, videos, and other files. The intuitive, high-performance Adobe Bridge CC is only available in Creative Cloud.
You can use Adobe Bridge to open files, even those not made with Adobe programs. The files will open in their native apps or ones you specify. You can also use Adobe Bridge to place files into open Adobe documents.
Adobe Bridge works with various file types like .bct, .collection, .abdata, .bridgecache, .dhy, .adobebridge, .workspace, and .bridgesort. You may be able to convert between some of these formats in Adobe Bridge by using the “Save As” feature. But be careful because errors may prevent reopening the files.
To safely download Adobe Bridge, use the publisher’s website. The .adobebridge file extension stores data used internally by Adobe Bridge. It is not meant to be opened directly. As far as we know, it can’t be converted to other formats.
You can use the File Type Associations preferences in Adobe Bridge to fix issues opening images in the wrong app or wrong Photoshop version.
