An APX file extends capabilities of the Windows GRAPHISOFT Archicad application. It contains code and resources to add functionality not included in the software. Functionality available via APX files includes support for additional formats, library objects, and tools. Archicad does not provide all capabilities some users require out of the box. In these cases, users can install extra features via APX add-ons.
To install an add-on in Archicad follow simple steps. Download distribution archive from website for your Archicad version. Unzip distribution on your computer near disk root folder. Start Archicad and launch Extension Manager. Click “Search for More Add-Ons” and locate .APX file. Add-on will appear in Manager. It should have a tick indicating it is loaded.
If triangle with exclamation mark appears, check plugin and Archicad versions. You may have wrong version. Contact tech support if problems.
Identify right software to open and use APX file correctly. Review context or source to determine purpose, then use appropriate software. On Windows, find APX file in Explorer and double click to launch app. If error, look for app which opens it.
