Files with SIV extension are Video Files. SIV files are created by Silicon Imaging camcorders. They contain captured video data in uncompressed format. Use Adobe SpeedGrade software to open .siv files. There are no known conversions for siv files.
To open SIV files on Windows, right-click file. Select Open with, then Choose another app. Pick desired application. If you don’t see one you want, click More apps or Look for another app. This searches for other applications.
If solutions don’t help open the file, double-check its extension. When double-clicking a file to open, Windows checks the extension. If Windows recognizes the extension, it opens the file in associated program. When extension isn’t recognized, you get a message. It means no default app is associated with the siv file type.
Inability to open SIV files may relate to lacking application installed that supports them. If so, download and install one of the supporting programs. System will then associate it with SIV files. If this fails, try again.
