The MFO file extension is associated with Perl. To be read by ModInfo, MFO files must be stored in the same directory as the Perl Module (.PM) file. ModInfo is a system for documenting Perl modules. The MFO file is a Perl ModInfo Descriptor. Some concepts are based on the JavaBean BeanInfo API, but the implementation is specific to Perl.
Designs can be saved from the MediaFace Online website by selecting “Save Design”. They can be loaded by selecting “Open Design” and choosing the saved design from your local hard drive. The default name for saved designs is “Project.mfo.”
Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems can open MFO files. Three known software programs, notably Perl developed by Larry Wall, are related to the MFO file extension. MFO files are considered Data Files, but can also be Page Layout Files.
