The newer CLIP format allows quicker load and save times. It is lighter than the old Clip Studio Paint LIP format. You can still save LIP files in 1.5.4 or later Clip Studio Paint version. However, LIP files edited in 1.5.4 cannot be opened in 1.4.4 and earlier versions.
