RPG Maker MZ saves RMMZPROJECT files in a directory created to hold game creation projects. In Windows, directories located at: This PC/ Documents/ RMMZ. You can open RMMZPROJECT files with RPG Maker MZ. Select File → Open Project… from program’s menu bar. Make sure number matches your version. If can’t open file, delete it and make new game.rmmzproject file. I’d recommend “Show file extensions” to be sure not actually game.rmmzproject.txt.
When tried to open .rmmzproject file after week and half, game says unable to read. Tried everything to fix issue.
Put MZ project file in MV project. Click on it to run MV game in MZ. ALL plugins from MV work same. Game runs smoother! Work on game with newer MZ editor. Tested on own game – runs at 60fps now.
