Being unable to open ZM3 files can have various origins. The most common issues with ZoneAlarm Mailsafe Renamed NCH Format files aren’t complex. In most cases they can be addressed swiftly without a specialist. Here is a list of guidelines to help identify and solve file-related problems.
Download and install ZoneAlarm Pro. It is the most common solution.
A ZM3 file extension originally had NCH extension (Outlook e-mail tree file). Simple renaming will restore the Windows associations. However it is not advised unless you are sure it is safe.
You can rename the ZM3 file back to NCH and work with the file normally. However, this can be dangerous as the file was quarantined for a reason. So re-check it before you rename it.
It is unlikely that this file type can be converted to anything else.
