An XSTAGE file contains data for a Toon Boom Harmony animation project. Professional animators use Toon Boom Harmony to create 2D animations. The file is formatted with XML. XSTAGE files are commonly called Harmony scenes. When you double-click a file, Windows checks the extension. If Windows recognizes the extension, it opens the file in the associated program. When Windows does not recognize an extension, you get a message to select an app for the file.
Windows does not have a default program for the .xstage file type. We explain what an XSTAGE file is and how to open or convert it. We hope our site is useful and informative. One file association was found for the extension. Learn about .xstage file formats and how to open these files. Download an XSTAGE file opener. We know files at file.org.
Sometimes there is an autosaved “.xstage~” file in the scene folder. If you rename it to “.xstage”, you may recover an autosaved version. Turning on autosave every 10 minutes has prevented lost work. When creating a new Harmony scene, the folder is made but sometimes the .xstage file is not created. I have not used Harmony much since buying it years ago.
