The FBM file format specifies how bits encode information. FBM files store 3D marine vessel models made in DELFTship or FREE!ship. The files include the model’s length, width, volume, description, creator and creation date. To open an FBM file, select Import in DELFTship’s File menu.
FBM files contain fuzzy bitmap images rarely used now. XnView can open and export these files. Issues opening FBM files have various causes, often simple to fix without help. Check if the file type associates correctly with XnView. Update XnView if needed. Also check for other FBM file problems.
The FBM filename extension relates to 3D graphics files from DELFTship. CADfix software also uses FBM files to store geometry objects. Older FBM files created, edited and converted bitmap images with an obsolete graphics library. To open an FBM file requires suitable software like DELFTship.
