In the Theme Preview window, click APPLY THIS THEME to apply a theme from a TDESKTOP-THEME file in Telegram Desktop. You can also change themes in Telegram Desktop’s Settings. To create a theme with background image, put two files in a ZIP archive: colors.tdesktop-theme with color scheme, and background image in JPEG or PNG format. Name image file background.jpg or background.png for a single image, or tiled.jpg if you want it tiled. Change ZIP extension to .tdesktop-theme.
To create a theme with just colors, make a text file with .tdesktop-theme extension. It lists color constants and values. Put both files in a ZIP archive. Convert ZIP to .tdesktop-theme extension.
In Telegram Desktop, go to Settings and select theme file in “Chat background” to apply it. To share, send THEME file in Telegram and open in Telegram Desktop. More user friendly tools to create themes may come later.
