The .wwd file extension is used by Microsoft Works wizard files. Microsoft Works is an office suite with word processor, spreadsheet, and database functions. The .wwd files are from older versions of Works. They were used for wizard files to guide users through creating Works documents like text files, flyers, spreadsheets, or calendars.
It is not currently possible to open .wwd files. They are not supported anymore since Microsoft Works is no longer available. If you try to open a .wwd file, your application may not recognize the format. You may see an error that there is no program associated with .wwd files.
To resolve this, you can try updating the application you normally use to open .wwd files. However, since Microsoft Works is discontinued, the latest application versions likely still won’t support .wwd files. Although .wwd files can’t be opened, they are not dangerous files. But some unknown .wwd files from unreliable sources could potentially contain malware.
