The MRP file contains presets for the Morphine additive synthesizer in FL Studio. You can find MRP files included with Morphine organized in instrument folders in Windows at C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\Morphine\Sound Banks\ or macOS at /Users/[username]/Documents/Image-Line/Shared Data/Morphine/. To open an MRP file in Morphine, click the OPTIONS menu in the top left and select Load Program.
The MRP file type stores settings imported into Morphine to produce sounds like saxophone, cello, piano or cymbal. The .mgen file type contains Morphine generator presets imported in the Morph/Mix section. You can place these files wherever is convenient when importing. The FL Studio version directs to C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\Plugins\Fruity\Generators\Morphine while the VSTi version directs to C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line.
Problems opening MRP files can occur if the file type is not properly associated with the application. To associate MRP files, right-click on one, choose “Open with,” and select the suggested application at the top of the menu. This remedies files not being recognized by installed programs.
